UX/UI, USER RESEARCH, WEBSITE DESIGN, BRANDING

Concept for a meal-kit delivery service that allows users to set their food preferences and then receive automated deliveries of uncooked ingredients and recipes to their door every week. The goal of this concept project was to develop a new subdomain of their existing website for users to land on where they can order specific meals in specific quantities for delivery vs. signing up for a weekly meal plan. The new subdomain consisted of a new landing page, product listing page, and a product detail page.

Freshkit started off as a meal delivery service competing with many other well-known brands in the industry.

Their current site was designed to onboard those looking for the traditional meal-kit service, so the goal was to create a new website highlighting the difference and allowing people to quickly find the meals they like, choose how many they want and order them. .

However, they felt there is a gap in the market and wanted to offer users the ability to order specific meals whenever they need them vs. committing to purchasing a certain number of meal kits per week. .

We knew we needed users to be able to quickly find the meals they like and checkout in a few easy steps.

It was important that the user was able to filter by dietary preference, servings/night, and nights/week. It was also important that the listings themselves included dietary category as well as cook time, knowing these are two important factors when considering which meal-kit a user will checkout with.

The product listing page needed to showcase important elements of the meal-kit.

We included elements such as cook time, dietary category, nutritional facts for the main meal itself and also a list of ingredients to except with the kit once it arrives. Lastly, it was important to the client to highlight real chefs who have tested this meal kit before.
